Efficient, cosy and smart

Underfloor heating should be a top consideration as we strive for greater efficiency in our homes and businesses

It’s the ideal complement to a heat pump or low-temperature boiler system, delivering cosy warmth and reducing your energy use at the same time.

With a wide range of underfloor heating solutions available, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. The effectiveness of your system depends on several factors, including subfloor insulation, the type of finished flooring, pipe spacing, and how heat is distributed within the floor.

These elements significantly impact heat output, making proper design crucial to efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Expert installation, minimal disruption

Professional design and installation are essential to getting it right the first time. This is where we come in.

We leverage our experience with various manufacturers to recommend the best system for your needs, rather than limiting you to a single brand that may not be the perfect fit.

Best of all, upgrading to an energy-efficient underfloor heating system doesn’t always mean tearing up your floors. Thanks to innovative overfloor systems, installation can be far less disruptive than you might expect.

Designed around you

We design and install underfloor heating systems, bespoke to your property, either as a stand-alone service or as part of a package with other upgrade work in the property.

It all starts with an initial enquiry, where we gather as much information as possible about your project before either progressing straight to the quoting stage or arranging a free site visit to confirm the absolute best system for your needs.

Transparent, clear pricing

Once we’ve gathered all the relevant information, we send this to one of our underfloor heating manufacturers for a bespoke design tailored to your property.

This typically includes room sizes, the existing subfloor, manifold locations, the type of existing heating system and the proposed finished floor.

When the design is returned to us, we add it to our labour quote along with any required costs for building materials and send it to you for approval.

Enjoy effortless comfort, using less energy

The design provides us with all the vital information needed to deliver the heat output required for each room at a given flow temperature.

It also includes the individual flow rates for each circuit, completely enabling us to balance the system and eliminate any cold spots or differences in heat-up time.

Then all you have to do is sit back and savor the warmth, knowing that your system will always run seamlessly with minimal energy use.

Let us help you find the perfect underfloor heating solution for a warmer, more efficient space!

Benefits of underfloor heating

  • Underfloor heating operates at lower temperatures (typically 30–45°C) compared to radiators (55–75°C), making it a more energy-efficient heat emitter
  • Less energy is required to maintain the ambient air temperature due to the larger surface area being heated.
  • Compared to radiators, underfloor heating warms the room much more evenly, distributing heat across the whole space as the floor itself acts as a giant radiator.
  • Heat rises from the floor, keeping feet warm and improving the overall feeling of comfort.
  • No bulky radiators taking up wall space, allowing more design freedom for furniture and sofas.
  • Ideal for modern, minimalist interiors.
  • Less air circulation and dust movement compared to radiators, which can benefit people with allergies.
  • UFH provides gentle, radiant heat rather than convection-based heating, which tends to circulate dust more.
  • Unlike some radiators that click, creak, or gurgle, underfloor heating operates silently.
  • Underfloor heating is perfectly suited to air-source heat pumps, as most heat pumps work at over 400% efficiency at these lower flow temperatures.
  • UFH has fewer moving parts and typically requires less maintenance than radiators.

How does underfloor heating work?

Underfloor heating provides an energy-efficient and eco-friendly alternative for heating your home. Unlike radiators that push heat unevenly into a room, underfloor heating warms rooms evenly from floor to ceiling and allows precise temperature control.

water_ecElectric and Water

There are two types of underfloor heating systems: electric and water. Both work on the same principle of generating heat that then radiates through the floor. However, they differ greatly in how they are mechanically operated and what components are necessary for their functionality.
