The property, a detached house also featuring solar PV in Maidstone in Kent, posed a challenge to find a route to get the primary pipework from the patio heat pump to the cylinder inside.

Prior to installing the new Vaillant aroTHERM Plus heat pump, rigorous assessments were conducted to ensure compliance with MCS criteria by our certified engineers before locating it in the patio area at the rear of the property.

Solution

We then solved the challenge with the pipework and electrical conduit, which now run vertically, aligned with the drainage downpipe. The services pass through the loft space and descend to the cylinder cupboard. We then coloured all the pipework in the same black which camouflaged the pipes and maintained visual symmetry.
